To improve the customer experience, we have invested heavily in infrastructure and technology. We designed and built over 100 fulfilment centers, covering 25 million square feet and housing millions of products. This translates into 70% of the Korean population living within 7 miles of a Coupang logistics center.
We combine this physical infrastructure with cutting edge systems and software. We’re able to use AI and machine learning to predict demand spikes before they happen, and forward deploy products into our fulfilment and delivery network before they are needed. We then leverage our technology to dynamically route hundreds of millions of orders efficiently.
All of this enables us to break those conventional customer tradeoffs, and give our customers more choice, faster service, and lower costs.
