In celebration of Women’s History Month, Coupang is recognizing women entrepreneurs and business owners across the U.S. who are growing their businesses through the power of international exports
Susan Carlson launched Carlson Labs in Illinois with a single vitamin E product, inspired by her father’s health needs. Val Fishbain made peanut butter for guests at her wedding, only to find everyone in Los Angeles – and beyond – wanted more. Karité began in the Boakye family’s kitchen in New Jersey, where three sisters created a new skincare cream. Kate’s Real Food founder Kate Schade made homemade energy bars to fuel her outdoor Rocky Mountain adventures, and Kourtney Kardashian’s U.S.-based team spent more than three years developing its gummy wellness supplements.
All of these businesses share two things in common: They are founded by American women entrepreneurs and now they are growing their business internationally with help from Coupang.
Coupang is a U.S. tech company based in Seattle that serves millions of customers in Korea, Taiwan, Japan, the U.S. and other markets around the world through its e-commerce services. Coupang works with American businesses to export and sell their goods internationally, enabling them to grow their revenue by reaching new customers. Coupang exported more than $5 billion in U.S. goods and services in 2025 alone, working with thousands of American companies and brands. The company also uses innovative technology and logistics support to deliver an exceptional shopping experience for its customers, including greater consumer choice, lower prices and faster delivery times.
“At Coupang, we’re proud to help women-owned and women-founded businesses in America sell their goods to customers around the world,” said Bill Anaya, Coupang vice president. “We’ve built an innovative, AI-driven export engine that enables great American entrepreneurs find new revenue abroad that helps them grow their businesses, create jobs and support the US economy.”
Below we highlight five women-founded businesses partnering with Coupang to grow globally.
Carlson Labs
Carlson Labs is headquartered in Arlington Heights, Illinois, just outside Chicago, with a large manufacturing facility in Lincolnshire, Illinois. After launching the business with that one vitamin E product six decades ago, the company now sells 300 nutritional supplement products to customers around the world with help from Coupang.
As Carlson celebrates its 60th anniversary, Susan Carlson’s daughters Carilyn Anderson and Kirsten Carlson now lead the family business, which remains committed to the same values that shaped its founding: expertise, integrity, and a genuine commitment to family health.
Spread the Love
Spread The Love, headquartered in Los Angeles, is a certified woman- and minority-owned business that makes a wide range of nut butter products for customers all over the world, including butters from peanuts, almonds, cashews and hazelnuts, in smooth, crunchy and flavored varieties. It all started with a simple observation about people’s need and desire for clean-label nut butters made with all natural ingredients and a commitment to taking action to make the world a better place.
“We believe providing healthy, clean, natural food is one of the ways we show love to the people in our lives,” said Val Fishbain, co-founder and president. “We’re so excited that now, thanks to Coupang, we can share Spread the Love with new customers in South Korea and beyond.”

Karité
Founded by sisters Akua Okunseinde, Naana Boakye and Abena Slowe, New Jersey-based skincare brand Karité is expanding its business into Asia through its partnership with Coupang. Karité’s ingredient philosophy centers on simplicity and integrity. Its raw shea butter is sourced from Ghana and retains its natural vitamins and healing properties, resulting in creams that absorb quickly, provide lasting hydration, and are gentle for sensitive skin.
“Partnering with Coupang marks a big milestone for us – it’s our first step into Asia and an exciting chance to share Karité with Korean consumers who value quality and authenticity,” said Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Akua Okunseinde. “We’re excited to see how our business will grow as we expand into one of the biggest wellness and beauty markets on the planet.”

Kate’s Real Food
Kate’s Real Food, the Pennsylvania-based maker of organic energy, protein, and mini bars, is expanding into South Korea for the first time through a new partnership with Coupang. The company upholds founder Kate Schade’s commitment to organic ingredients, responsible sourcing and real food made with care.
“Our advice to other U.S. companies considering Coupang is to view it as a strategic way to reach new customers,” said Kate’s Chief Marketing Officer Brittany Thaler. “For us, it’s created a platform for international growth, and we’re excited about the road ahead.”

Lemme
Lemme, the vitamin and supplement brand founded by Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Simon Huck, began officially partnering with Coupang to expand its brand to more international customers. Based in Los Angeles and New York, Lemme’s products are vegetarian, non-GMO, gluten-free, gelatin-free and made with clinically backed ingredients, according to the company, and undergo third-party testing.

These businesses are just a handful of the thousands of companies and brands that are reaching new global markets through partnerships with Coupang. As women across the U.S. and around the world continue to create, build and grow innovative new businesses, Coupang is proud to help entrepreneurs find new ways to harness the power of international commerce.
