Coupang Opens Second Fulfillment Center In Taiwan

In 2022, Coupang launched its services in Taiwan by introducing Rocket Delivery and Rocket Overseas to the country. A core part of how we create “wow” moments for customers is by offering incredibly fast and convenient delivery and low prices on a broad assortment of products. It’s why we’ve continued to invest in our logistics infrastructure, which includes building highly efficient fulfillment centers (FC), first in Korea and more recently in Taiwan. On November 2, 2023 Coupang celebrated the opening of its second fulfillment center in Taiwan, and unveiled plans to open a third center in the first half of .

Coupang’s second FC in Taiwan is strategically located in Taoyuan City in the northwestern region. This advanced logistics hub employs cutting-edge automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, to seamlessly forecast and analyze customer demand.

During the opening ceremony of the Taoyuan FC, Bom Kim, Chairman of Coupang Inc., emphasized the importance of increasing cross-border trade and connectivity among Asian neighbors as a means to improving the lives of customers while driving economic growth for a global community of small business partners.

Taiwan’s Minister of Economic Affairs Mei-hua Wang, who graced the event, remarked that Coupang’s investment in Taiwan signals a positive perception of the country’s market and consumer power. She also affirmed Taiwan’s commitment to further strengthening economic and trade collaborations with the United States and South Korea.
