SEATTLE -- June 6, 2023 --- Coupang, Inc. today announced that it has been named to the Fortune 500 list, an annual ranking of the largest U.S. companies by total revenue. This makes Coupang, established in 2010, one of the youngest companies to make the list, an indication of the company’s strong growth driven by its continued technological innovations for its customers.

 Coupang, debuting at No. 195 overall, was the second highest-ranking newcomer. It was also one of only two debuting companies in retail, ranking No. 17 in the industry at large.

Since its initial public offering in March 2021, Coupang has grown revenues every quarter, hitting $20.5 billion in revenue in 2022 to rank at No. 195 on the 2023 Fortune 500 list. And even as the company continues to scale rapidly, expanding its end-to-end fulfillment and logistics infrastructure to over 47 million square feet, Coupang also continues to improve profit margins, achieving a major milestone in Q1 2023 by recording net profit across the entire business for the trailing 12 months.

The company attributes these results to its continued focus on improving experiences and driving efficiencies for its customers as well as for the hundreds of thousands of large and small suppliers on Coupang. For example, recent improvements to Rocket Growth (Fulfillment and Logistics by Coupang) have made it easier than ever for merchants to capture the growth and benefits of the company’s end-to-end network, while greatly expanding the selection of merchant products available to customers with the speed and convenience of Rocket Delivery.
